THE JOURNEY TO SWEETEN THE BITTER
OF BITTERSWEET & CO

Milestones

Seven years to sweeten the bitter
First-year - 2016

In 2016, we started with a thatched-roof shop and a dream. We were young and eager, and our creativity was boundless. That's how we came up with the "no menu" game, where we challenged ourselves to create cocktails using whatever seasonal fruits were available.

It was a humble start, but we quickly gained a following for our experience. We learned that even the bitterest beginnings can be turned into something sweet.

After the first failure - 2017

Our first failure forced us to find a new home and invest more time and money in our dreams. But it also taught us valuable lessons and helped us to grow as a team.

In 2017, we found a new home and began to build a brighter future. For Bittersweet, failure is always an opportunity to start again, better than before.

2020 - Fall down

Probably this was one of the hardest times for all of us.

2020 forced Bittersweet to close, but we overcame the challenges and emerged more resilient. We learned that failures are opportunities to grow and learn.

Achievement:
Co-host with Takeover & Co of Vietnam Cocktail Festival 2020

2021: An Unplanned Retreat

Despite the challenges, 2021 was a turning point for Bittersweet. We used the time to explore our craft and create new services and products. We also teamed up with Takeover&Co to launch a talk show series for bartending professionals.

Achievement:
Co-host with Takeover&Co. of Bartender Talkshow: Bar Talk (12 Episodes)

2022: A New Generation

After a milestone retreat, Bittersweet returned in 2022 with renewed ideas and motivation. We expanded our services beyond the bar, traveling far and wide to share stories about our craft and the products we carefully researched.

Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Bittersweet ventured to farms and factories across Vietnam to learn about its raw materials and agricultural produce. We aimed to develop and enhance Vietnam's high-quality agricultural value chain, crafting authentic narratives to bridge the gap between "the cultivators" and "the connoisseurs."

Achievements:
Founding Bamboo Choice Award for Bamboo Airways
Feature on Conde Nast
Cocktail Pairing Dinner with New World Resort Phu Quoc
Cocktail Pairing Dinner with Aura Restaurant Phu Quoc
Cocktail Pairing Dinner with Regent Resort Phu Quoc
